5 ways to wear a sequin skirt

I love everything shiny, sparkly and glamorous, which is exactly what we had in mind when we created our sequin maxi skirts.  And although it would seem like it might be hard to wear a maxi skirt, it’s actually quite versatile so I wanted to dedicate a post to show the many ways that you could wear a sequin maxi.

Our favorite, of course, is to simply pair with a graphic tee.  We love the gray Pop the Champagne tee paired with the gunmetal maxi as seen on Mary of Sportsanista.

Jen and Helen also look amazing in their skirts and tees.

A long v neck sweater is the perfect laid back yet glam look.  This is perfect for a nice dinner out or for a dinner party held by one of your fabulous friends!

Blair of Atlantic Pacific shows us that stripes and sequins make for a perfect pairing.  It’s definitely a step up from casual but the stripes really help make it a daytime appropriate look.

Chambray and sequins?  Two of my favorite things ever paired together and it works beautifully!  This just goes to show that you don’t have to go all out glam just because you are wearing sequins.

And one of my fashion icons, Miroslava Duma, pulls off the sequins with a simple button down and a statement necklace (which we are also fans of!).  The belt, the jacket and the shoes are muted enough to work with the outfit but really let the skirt stand out.

Chicago Events: Happy 10 year EDrop-Off/Launch of Christian Siriano Fragrance

edropoffOne of the best parts about blogging and my job is going to events and supporting other businesses and designers.  Corri McFadden, owner of Edrop-off, is a fabulous woman who has supported our business since we started.  She is a successful entrepreneur, social media maven, blogger, new momma, and so much more. . . she is gorgeous and smart and works like no other. Corri was also a main model in our holiday lookbook and agreed to be a part of it after only have her adorable Zelda 7 weeks before the shoot.   She’s amazing and if you love designer goods for less, you’ll have to check out her auctions and website here.

Corri and Edrop-off celebrated their 10 year anniversary off with a bang.  First off, their collection of designer goods for less in their EDO Collection, it will be a revolving door of curated items at a set price.  Currently, they don’t have all the styles online, but a Chanel Boy Bag, ear muffs, Celine bags, and fabulous vintage frocks were all previewed last week.  Contact thecollection@shopedropoff.com for more information.  I instagrammed the boy bag on my wish list 🙂 (the bag is still available for sale).  Second was this fabulous party held for the launch of Christian Siriano’s fragrance, Silhouette.  Edrop-off will be selling the fragrance exclusively as well as some of Christian’s garments at their location at 1201 N. Clark Street (in Chicago) until the 31st of October.
