When I was pregnant with my daughter, I wondered if she’d be a girly girl or since she’s surrounded by all boy cousins if she might become more tomboy. She’s almost two so I’m sure things will change but as of now she’s more girly girl than I could ever imagine! I never steered her in either way as I’ve always let her play with whatever toys she wanted but she’s always loved anything pink, purple, sparkly and girly. I definitely have fun with this, being a girly girl myself and she and I often play dress up together and play with mommy’s jewelry. Being that my home office holds a sample of almost each piece of jewelry we’ve ever had in our line, my daughter walks in there and wants to touch and see every piece!
My friend Sharon, who is an amazing designer, made me this dress and as a surprise made a matching one for Layla! I love them so much that I knew we had to do a photo shoot together. We put on our matching dresses and added our pom pom necklaces to top it off! Just goes to show that you can share our jewelry with kids of all ages!
